Therapeutic effects and pharmacology:

Helicobacter pylori (a type of bacteria that thrives in the acidic pH of the stomach) forms colonies in the stomach lining and is stable in gastric acid. To treat it, a triple or quadruple therapy regimen (two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole) is prescribed, which can cause side effects.
Non-viable Lactobacillus reuteri in Pyloshot, upon reaching the stomach, binds to receptors on the surface of H. pylori, disrupting the attachment of this pathogenic bacterium to the gastric mucus and facilitating its removal through normal gastrointestinal motility. As a result, the H. pylori load in the stomach is significantly reduced.
Other probiotic strains in this product also help reduce potential side effects of H. pylori treatment (such as acute gastroenteritis caused by antibiotic use) and are effective in eradicating or preventing H. pylori infection.
Calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide act as antacids for treating dyspepsia and help maintain electrolyte balance and normal function of digestive enzymes. Zinc also contributes to maintaining proper gastric acid-base balance.

Side effects:

Most probiotics naturally exist in the digestive system and are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Probiotics are usually well tolerated, and the most common side effect is mild bloating, which typically subsides with continued use. If allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching, dizziness, cough, or other respiratory issues occur, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Drug interactions:

Antibiotics: Taking antibiotics concurrently with probiotics may reduce the effectiveness of probiotics. Additionally, calcium, magnesium, and zinc can decrease the absorption of tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics.
It is recommended to take Pyloshot 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after these antibiotics.
Bisphosphonates: Cations such as calcium and magnesium can reduce the absorption of bisphosphonates like alendronate. Therefore, Pyloshot should be taken at least 2 hours apart from bisphosphonates.
Iron: Its absorption competes with zinc, so they are best not taken together. However, if simultaneous intake is necessary, it is recommended to take them with food to prevent interference with each other’s absorption.
Levothyroxine: Supplements containing calcium carbonate and magnesium reduce levothyroxine absorption. Therefore, it is recommended to take Pyloshot and levothyroxine at least 4 hours apart.

Precautions and warnings:

This product is suitable for adults and children over 9 years old. Therefore, in children under 9, it should be used only under a doctor's supervision.
Probiotics should be taken with caution and under medical supervision if used concurrently with immunosuppressive drugs or chemotherapy.
If you have specific conditions such as immune deficiency, short bowel syndrome, copper deficiency, sideroblastic anemia, neutropenia, high blood calcium levels, kidney failure, fever, any history of drug or food allergies, or are taking any medications or supplements, inform your doctor before using this product.
If signs of infection (such as high fever, chills, or persistent cough) or allergic reactions like skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, mouth, or tongue, severe dizziness, chest pain, or difficulty breathing occur, stop using the product immediately and contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications:

Avoid using this product if you have a history of allergy to any of the product's components.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

There is not enough information to use this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so avoid using it.

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature below 25°C, away from light and moisture, and out of reach of children.
